Fear and Courage

Happy Monday!
Starting this week has got me thinking a lot about fear and courage.
Friday morning I will be lying on the operating table to let my orthopedic surgeon enter the depths of my right knee.
I know it's what needs to be done.
I know it's the key to making me whole again...
but I'm still feeling a little uneasy and fearful as the day approaches.

Fear creeps up on us in many forms and for many reasons.
Does fear disable you? Does it discourage you?
What is fear holding you back from accomplishing right now in your life?
How are YOU going to fight it?

Let's take these words of inspiration and let them motivate us to dig deep and find that courage that lies within each of us!

My oldest started pre-k today. Got to right the bus to school. I think there would have been more fear if we didn't have so much else to do today. Financial adviser! More fear! Learning to drive my new *van* more fear! What if I wreck because it's not my Mazda 3? What's going on my Mazda? Are they being nice? Will Vern get a nice new owner? How long will she be on the used-car-lot unloved? I know these are nothing to invasive surgery but they were my fears today.

Honestly I think my biggest fear right now is the fact that my prayers aren't being answered, the little ones, seem rejected. That's a big fear, right?

I swear I deal with fears daily, big and small. I'm not sure if it's part of my depressive disorder or what. However, fighting fears mean reaching deep down and having faith that things will work out. Good luck on your surgery and focus on how much better your knee will feel after!
