Playing catch up...

I've been trying to catch up today on LOTS of things...because well, let's face it -
my house is a wreck today.
I'm currently working on turning lots of piles of this...

Into lovely piles of this...

yes, I really DID just show you my laundry! HAH!
At least it was clean....right?!!

Did you know that if you time yourself, without major distractions, you will see it only takes between 10 and 12 minutes to fold a load of laundry?!

Maybe it's just me...but that was surprising.
Probably because I really don't like doing laundry!
Just ask Mr.Wilson...or my angel Mother for that matter...
I never have enjoyed cleaning, folding, and putting away clothes.

Come on over and check it out for yourself -
The occupants of my household know that finding something clean oftentimes means you must look in the laundry basket!

Knowing it only takes 10 minutes to fold somehow motivates me more to get it done which means we will all have less wrinkly clothes...and I will have more time.

So...I'm off to fold - but I will see you tomorrow for a "little things" feature...

Man I should go do that too. But I'm too tired! That is amazing though to realize it only takes ten minutes. I would have guessed a half hour. What good news!

So glad to hear I am not the only one :) Laundry is definitely not my strong point!

It makes life so much easier when the clothes are folded and you don't have to pull out the iron. I have issues with ironing!

I love doing loads of laundry...but I definitely hate folding it. I think it takes longer than 10 minutes to fold a load of laundry, but that may just be because I have little "helpers" that I can't get away from, that like to -unfold- the laundry almost as fast as I can fold it. How do you get a moment of peace to fold yours?

Mallory, I have little helpers and a dog who all LOVE to unfold my piles too. I keep them high and fold while at least one of them is asleep...and then I time myself - it makes me go faster...I know it's like timing a child to clean up his toys, but hey...it works!

I love laundry. For whatever reason, I feel something really satisfying about folding all of the clothes "just so" and putting them in their proper places. There are many things about my life I can't control, but I can control that! :)

I have a sister-in-law who hates doing laundry and is an AMAZING seamstress. The other day she actually sewed a new nightgown for her toddler instead of doing the laundry when all of the pajamas were dirty. I think that's kind of awesome. I wish I could sew like that.

I guess I'll have to settle for enjoying laundry!
