I love dahlias…do you know what the real ones look like? Well, don’t worry…I’m going to give you a little look see -

I found this tutorial Kathleen over at grosgrain shared with her readers. A great tutorial on how to make a felt dahlia! I tucked it away for a later time and this week I pulled it out! It was lots of fun! I did alter a few steps because I thought the process was just taking too long for me. If you want me to tell you what I changed let me know.
I try to time myself when doing projects or else the inevitable happens…
Mr.Wilson comes home and there I am, in my sweats on my sewing machine, children and toys everywhere with NO thoughts of dinner in the works! So, setting a timer helps me to make the most of the time I have whether it’s 25 minutes before I start teaching or 1 hour before the baby wakes up…it gives me exactly that much time to work and then ‘ding’…times up.
(a couple of you have asked me how I find time to make anything – that’s how…or at night when the little boys are in bed.)
Anyway, I timed and tested this tutorial and this is what came out of it…
Pretty, don’t you think?
I really love how they turned out and I can’t decide which one I want to keep for myself! I tried each one and I’m still not sure…

These are great! How do I pick one color?! Hmm, well, I've been in a light green phase lately so I guess that would be it! There are so many things that can be done with these. Great work!
