Merry Christmas to me...

Last Friday the boys went camping in the snow so while I was working on Christmas gifts, I decided to finish up a sweater embellishment I had planned out in my head...
I saw this on Grosgrain and immediately put it on my Christmas list.
Lucky for me a few days after I fell in love, it was 99cent knit day at the community thrift store..what?!?! yeah. I hit the jackpot!

Grosgrain's Kathleen has an embroidery machine to sew her monogram and I don't...but I do have a big roll of freezer paper and skills with an x-acto knife!
So I tried out my freezer paper stenciling on a sweater to create the same look and it worked out beautifully!

This sweater only cost 99cents and finished only $2.00. No joke. It looks a little orange, but it's a really pretty coral color...one of my favorites!
Merry (early) Christmas!
