"little things" by Joanna

"Life is a gift. Never forget to enjoy and bask in every moment you are in" - Mark Twain;

Have YOU been basking ...savoring every moment you are in?
Have YOU been TRYING?

I've been trying. I'm going to be optimistic and guess that you have been too!
I want you to do me a favor right now.
You up for it? Okay...here it is:

Take a second and think of one moment today that made you smile or made your heart feel light.
Go on ...I'll wait until you think of one.

You need one more second...?

you got it?!?!
I just saw your beautiful smile flash across my screen so I'm going to take that as a YES!

Good.
Did you get an image of that moment, or "little thing" in you mind?
Did you smirk or grin? Did you laugh?
How do you feel now?
Don't you wish we could all feel like that all the time?
Imagine how kind, happy, light-hearted and thoughtful we would be if we were all constantly striving "to bask in every moment [we] are in..."

None of us are perfect. In fact, the only thought running sprints in my head right now is:
"If I had been a more patient Mama today, I would've been able to find more 'little things'."

Tomorrow is another day to try again, to search harder, to be better, to be happier.

I wanted to introduce you to someone who is SUPER special to me! She is an amazing Mother to three very handsome gentleman and wife to a very busy and very talented professional photographer.

Her name is Joanna, Jo, or even Joanna Banana! She is an artist, a painter, a jewelry designer, and so much more, but one of the things I love and admire most about her is her big heart.
She has the biggest, most loveliest heart of gold!
I've always wanted my heart to be like hers.

She sent me her "little things" list a little while ago and I've been excited to share it with you because I think it is the perfect example of what your list can be. It's also the perfect example of
"...Never forget[ing] to enjoy and bask in every moment you are in"

Your list doesn't have to be long, or written in perfect iambic pentameter.
It can be one moment ... one image. Just like Joanna's.
Here she is:
"I have lots of things to smile and giggle about. I love being a mom of 3 boys. It is fun, wild, and never a dull moment. My second oldest, loves his new baby brother but is quite rough with him. I'm always telling him to stop or leave him alone. One day he wanted to hold the baby while I was in the shower, I warned him that if he was mean to him in anyway he would get in trouble. Well, this is what I came out of the shower to......I don't think I need to say another word."

Bask in every moment ... they all zip by much too fast!

You remember that favor I asked earlier?
Well, the PERFECT "little thing" to share would be the moment that came to your mind that made you smile or made you heart feel light.

Do you remember what it was?

Send it to me or even leave it as a comment.
We would ALL love to see what treasures you find!

Hmmm...my 'little moment' today is when my 2 year old whipped his diaper off outside and went streaking across the yard. Nothing like cute little baby buns and happy baby giggles! (and yes, I was letting my son play outside in just a diaper and tshirt...we don't live in a neighborhood). ;)
